What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Evaluation Report from February 2025, written as the school began taking Year 7 students, with Year 8 to follow.
ERO found that learners achieve equitably and most make sustained progress, with most at or above expected curriculum levels in mathematics, a large majority in reading and a small majority in writing.
Most learners feel they belong, students needing extra help are clearly identified and supported, and leaders and teachers have built strong trust with whānau. A large majority attend regularly, though the school had not yet met the national attendance target.
The agreed next steps are to keep lifting progress and achievement in reading, writing and mathematics for all learners, to bring Year 7 and 8 students into the school successfully with programmes that support their learning and wellbeing, to keep building a positive, inclusive environment around the school’s values, and to work with whānau to improve regular attendance.

Enrolling
Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the school’s enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places, and siblings of current students have preference for out-of-zone places.
The school publishes its out-of-zone places, application deadline and ballot date on its enrolment scheme page each year, along with the full zone description. Families of new entrants are asked to pre-enrol when their child turns four, using the enrolment form on the school’s enrolment information page.
